I'll have to buy a cubicle wall to put this up on

I'm not normally the type to have comics up in my officeopen-floor-plan-desk-space. I like a good Dilbert as much as the next guy, but, I don't know. It feels a little too "someone has a case of the Mooondays!" or something.

Anyway, I might break this rule for this:
Devotion to Duty

They already think I'm a gun-toting psycho*, so this would fit right in.

* Even though I don't own a gun, and I'm in a state that doesn't really let me own one. You tell one story about a friend buying a semi-automatic shotgun on a whim, and suddenly you're the dangerous one.

I like this one too, though it should really say Linux sysadmin. Windows sysadmins don't give a rip about uptime. :)

Poor Matt.

I was thinking about that while telling my coworkers about how we do things in states that, you know, believe in the constitution. They're not really used to the idea that a friend of mine could have a trunk full of 9mm ammo with his Glock (loaded, no safety) on top in his house. What's wrong with that? :)

What's wrong? You mean other than the fact that 9mm doesn't have much stopping power?

In a city where only the police (and the criminals) have guns, people are kind of horrified to hear that someone would just leave a gun loaded and out.

Nor the idea that I could take a credit card to Walmart and buy enough ammo to kill all of them. Even with shitty aim. Ahem.

Oh, and the "poor Matt" was about the Matt that wrote that comic. Those two comics are a true story, and he got fired over it. Bummer.
